Instructions Prepare the crust:  In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and sugar. Add the cold butter cubes and cut them into the flour mixture using a pastry blender or your hands until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Mix Filling Ingredients In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, lemon juice, and flour. Toss to coat the apples evenly.

Roll Out Top Crust Roll out the second disk of dough and place it over the apples. Trim the excess dough and crimp the edges to seal.

Grill Setup:  If using a gas grill, turn off the burners directly under the pie and keep the surrounding burners on medium-high. For a charcoal grill, move the coals to one side and place the pie on the opposite side.

Check Temperature:  Use an oven thermometer to ensure the temperature remains around 375°F (190°C) throughout the grilling process.

Rest Time:  Remove the pie from the grill and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 2 hours before serving. This allows the filling to set properly and the flavors to meld.
