I was drawn to the helping profession through my interest in the human mind and a desire to understand emotional processes and how they are connected to healing. For each individual or family, emotional healing improves the overall quality of daily experiences and functioning and drastically improves relationships. My goal is to assist children, teens, and adults to reach that quality of life and find a balance again in times of stress and emotional disturbances. I want to create a safe environment for each of my clients where personal problems can be shared without worries of judgment and support each individual on their journey to fulfill their personal goals.
I graduated from Capella University with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. I speak fluent English and German and would enjoy helping both populations. I came to the United States in 2008, and since then, I have traveled the world as a military spouse until 2021, when we arrived here in Midland, Texas. In the past 18 years, I had the opportunity to explore different cultures and meet people from all over the world. As a military spouse, I encountered hardships such as leaving home multiple times and going through three deployments apart from my husband. My experiences during this time partially shaped me into the person I am today and allowed me to relate to individuals in similar situations. In my personal time, I enjoy painting, traveling, reading, and spending time with my husband and family whenever time allows.
As of October 1, 2023, Affinity Counseling will be closing its doors. We apologize for the inconvenience. Counselors are currently in the process of finalizing choices regarding the transition. Please know- all therapists will continue to see their respective clients, just in different locations. We are continuing to schedule old and new clients during this time. We will be sending out letters to clients with specifics as they come. You may also find contact information, locations and further information from this site.
