All of us are faced with various challenges throughout our lives. Some of these challenges are easy to handle while others are extremely difficult to overcome. The arduous trials may require some additional support from outside ourselves. As a counselor, I am able to provide a safe and open environment for individuals needing some extra support to work through life’s challenges. I enjoy working with pre-teens, adolescents, and adults of all ages in my counseling practice. My therapy is based on a belief in the importance of the client-counselor connection, understanding that each person is an expert on themselves, offering unconditional acceptance as well as providing genuine empathy to all clients.
I graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude, and a Master of Science Degree in Counseling. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the Texas Counseling Association which helps me stay up-to-date on current research and findings in the field of counseling. I lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area until my husband, daughter, and I moved to Midland in 2019. When I am not working with clients, I enjoy traveling, gardening, experiencing new things, sewing, road racing, singing, and being with my family.
We understand the impact that COVID-19 has had on our community and the people we serve. We have acknowledged that we both work and live with vulnerable people. In order to provide safety for our clients and ourselves we have made several changes. As of March 2020, all counseling will take place online. Only client's with specific needs determined by their counselor to require face to face sessions will be seen in the office. All clients who are seen in the office must wear a mask. Staff will also follow Governor Abbott's mandate to wear masks. We hope to open our doors again soon. Thank You.
